From sogo2 to ghost pepper, Egyptians try spicy food.
You might call us sadists for making people eat one of the world's hottest peppers simply for our own entertainment (we're a spicy bunch), but let's face it; it's just human nature to laugh (profusely) at other people's misery. Especially if they're willing participants, and know full well they're about to get their sphincters decimated.
Full disclosure though; some people pointed out that ingesting a full ghost pepper can result in thunderclap headaches, and acute vasoconstriction amongst a slew of horrifying side effects (most of which smell). So everyone involved in the making of this video was given the freedom to ingest only as much as they (not really) felt comfortable. This should also tell you that you probably shouldn't try this at home (that's a lie). We've got some of that award winning hot sauce left over and we don't mind sharing if you'll let us laugh at your misery.
Naturally we had to see if our willing participants (they have to work for those paychecks) are even capable of handling something like a ghost pepper, so we gave them a series of spicy foods that gradually increase in scoville units (that's how you measure how horrifically spicy something is) and even had them rate them along the way.
So without further ado:
